Since it's a travel size I was comfortable with the size. Its a good size for the on-the-go travel where touch ups ate necessary. I was pleasantly surprised to have a professional case for my flatiron. This makes setting down the iron in between section preps easier and travelling better. I'm pleased with my purchase

It's "shmedium" which means it is small enough to travel with and keep in a small space, but full-size enough to do it jobs efficiently. The only "downsides" I could see are that there is only an on/off switch (you cannot change the temperature), but this does not bother me because I always use the highest temp setting (410 F). It also does not have a lock to keep the plates closed together, so just be careful when heating.
